Phil and Kate look forward to welcoming you to Franchis, our touring and self-catering holiday park on the Lizard Peninsula, close to Mullion. Whether you are thinking of staying here for the first time or are an old friend returning, we hope to help make your holiday with us a memorable and enjoyable one.

Nestling between farm and woodland, in an area of outstanding natural beauty lies Franchis, a quiet site perfect for families and couples who are looking for the type of old-fashioned holiday they enjoyed as children.

We are situated very close to the rugged beauty of the Cornish coast with numerous idyllic sandy coves, all waiting for you to spend a sun filled day on.

Travel a few miles East and you'll find the lush green valleys of the Helford; perfect for messing about on boats or visiting some of the many exotic, sub-tropical gardens that the area boasts.

The Lizard is dotted with quaint old fishing villages where time seems to have stood still and you can easily imagine yourself back amongst the smugglers. Watch the fisherman as they land their catch and buy your supper from them. Or, if you don't want to cook (or barbeque!) try out the local pub and one of the many Lizard Ales.

If you enjoy going for a hike then you'll be spoilt for choice as there are many footpaths to tread in the area, including the South West coastal path. Indeed, we are conveniently situated for visiting all of West Cornwall, with its myriad of walks taking in the spectacular coastline, moorland, and prehistoric remains.

Should you wish to visit larger towns, we are only 5 miles from Helston and about 14 miles from Falmouth and Penzance, all with a good selection of shops and leisure facilities.

The Lizard is blessed with a mild climate and whatever the season or the weather, there is always something to do, somewhere to visit or explore.

Camping & Touring

We have 70 pitches for touring tents, caravans and motor homes at Franchis, 37 of which have an electric hook up. Spread over 2 fields of 4 acres our pitches are set amongst mature trees in one field and next to woodland with a gurgling stream in the other. Camping here is very much a back to nature experience with no street lighting to disturb your enjoyment of our spectacular Cornish night sky and the abundance of wildlife including bats, owls and buzzards. It's also worth noting that we have no bars or disco’s to shatter the natural tranquillity of our site.

Self-Catering

Our static caravans and chalets are positioned towards the top end of our site, amongst the fringes of woodland that comprises a large part of Franchis' 16 acres. This gives a degree of seclusion, with plenty of outside space for you to enjoy the lovely mild Cornish climate and even the odd barbecue!
